so its been a loooonnnnnggggg time since i’ve written here. maybe lost a little interest in blogging, or just have been too busy with work and other stuff. i dunno. anyways.. we’re putting in our new flooring this weekend (!!!!!!) in the kitchen and living room (probably post pix on monkey plus candle maybe here).

we are pretty excited about it. we just had new carpet put in the bedrooms and hallway a few months ago and now this flooring. this will probably much be all the major things we’ve wanted to do to the inside of our house since we’ve moved in. its going to look so nice. i think the only thing left we need (read.. NEED) to do is put new windows in. we still have like the 1924 original single panes.. and burrrrrrr — it makes it very chilly in here during the winter. so that will be the next thing, they shouldnt be too bad as far as money goes. i think we only need 8 or 9 depending if we turn the kitchen window, which is currently 2 windows, into just one large one (which i would really like to do).

anyways.. waiting for our friends from moses lake to get here, they are going to help put the flooring in.

I spent most of the morning with the help of my dad building a fence along the side of our driveway (check monkeypluscandle for pics).

We still have a little to do, just making a couple cuts and then building a new gate but that wont be too bad, but its too hot to do anymore today its atleast 95+ out right now — so Ill either wait till this evening or later to finish. Atleast all the pickets are up. It looks really awesome, I am really happy with the way it turned out!

really bad, or atleast a few days off. :P

i just got an overwhelming feeling that i dont want to be doing what i am doing right this second. id rather be outside ripping the backyard fence down and putting a new one up. i’ve worked since i was about 15-16 and im sick of it already. putting in another 30+ years is not appealing.

and note to all work people… i dont need to be copied on every freaking thing you think is important. you dont need to “cc vincent to confirm”.

i have been wanting to get a truck for a long time. we have atvs and enjoy camping, and our current suv for pulling the trailer for that is a bit of a stress. so i’ve been looking and finally found a truck i liked. i got a 2003 Ford F150 4×4 with 55k miles. you can tell that it was taken good care of.

i am so stoked about it!

so i’ve been playing around with video editing lately using sony vegas. nothing fancy just trying to figure out what the program can do.  i put this together — its nothing all that special but it is fun to create and then see the final product, click below to watch the short clip:

i like my job, its fun, theres enough challenges to keep it interesting and it pays well.  but sometimes i would rather be doing something else.  for example, the neighbor up the street, 31 yr old guy, family, etc.  he doesnt work, his reasons for not working are nowhere where i could be (he’s on disiblity). but being able to be out working in your yard, doing things like that interests me — i just dont have the time do it.

we have so many things we want to do. getting those trees out was one, and that opens up the door to be able to do a couple more things we’ve wanted to do since we moved here.

i think the nice weather (77 yesterday, probably be that today) makes me want to do these things a lot more :P
